Airport Transfers for International Students

Landing on the Gold Coast to study? A fixed-fare, name-board pickup that works before you have an Australian SIM — door-to-door from Gold Coast or Brisbane Airport.

Short answer: We collect international students from Gold Coast Airport or Brisbane Airport and take them door-to-door to their accommodation at a fixed, pre-paid fare — $95–$140 by sedan from Gold Coast Airport and $175–$275 from Brisbane Airport depending on the suburb. Your driver waits inside the terminal with a name board, tracks the flight, and the booking is confirmed by email — so it works even before you have an Australian SIM card.

Arriving without an Australian phone number

The first hours in a new country are the hardest part of the trip: no local SIM, no rideshare app that accepts your payment card, and a pile of luggage. A pre-booked transfer removes all of it. You book online before you fly and pay the fixed fare up front, the confirmation and pickup details arrive by email, we track your flight number, and your driver is inside the terminal at arrivals holding a board with your name on it. Nothing depends on your phone working when you land. Parents and guardians overseas can make the booking on a student’s behalf — just put the student’s name on the booking so it matches the name board.

You will not be alone: the Gold Coast hosted more than 30,000 international student enrolments in 2025 (source: Experience Gold Coast). Semester starts in February and July are our busiest student arrival windows, so book ahead once you have your flight.

“I have met students at midnight carrying two years of their life in three suitcases. The name board matters more than anything — after a 9-hour flight, seeing your own name at arrivals is the moment you can finally relax.”

— Andy, owner-driver

Fixed fares to student accommodation

Every Gold Coast suburb is a set fare, the same in either direction — including the suburbs around the main campuses: Southport and Parkwood (Griffith University), Robina and Varsity Lakes (Bond University area) and the Coolangatta–Bilinga corridor (Southern Cross University). By sedan, Gold Coast Airport runs are $95–$140 and Brisbane Airport runs $175–$275; check your exact suburb on the fixed price chart or get an instant quote in the booking form.

Vehicle Seats Luggage
Sedan 1–3 passengers 2 large cases + 2 carry-on
KIA Carnival people mover up to 7 passengers 5 large cases + 3 carry-on
Maxi Taxi up to 11 passengers 7 large cases + 7 carry-on

Prices are per vehicle, GST-inclusive. Moving with more luggage than a sedan holds? The Carnival is the student-moving favourite. Extra stops — keys from an agent, a supermarket run on the way — are shown as add-ons in the booking form before you confirm. Book both legs together and the return leg is 5% off.

Frequently asked questions

How much is an airport transfer for an international student on the Gold Coast?

Fixed sedan fares are $95-$140 from Gold Coast Airport and $175-$275 from Brisbane Airport depending on your suburb, per vehicle, GST-inclusive. Your exact suburb is on the fixed price chart.

Can I book without an Australian phone number?

Yes. You book and pay online before you fly, and the confirmation arrives by email. Nothing about the pickup depends on having a local SIM.

How will I find my driver at the airport?

The driver waits inside the terminal at arrivals holding a board with your name on it, then helps with your luggage to the vehicle.

What if my flight is late or immigration takes a long time?

We track the flight number, and the driver adjusts for delays at no extra cost.

Can my parents book the transfer for me from overseas?

Yes – parents and guardians often book on a student’s behalf. Put the student’s name on the booking so it matches the name board at arrivals.

How much luggage can I bring?

A sedan takes 2 large suitcases plus 2 carry-on bags; the KIA Carnival takes 5 large plus 3 and is the usual choice for students moving with everything they own.

Can you drop me at student accommodation or a homestay?

Yes – the service is door-to-door to any address: on-campus accommodation, apartments, homestays or a friend’s place.

Can we stop to collect keys or groceries on the way?

Yes – extra stops are available as add-ons, shown in the booking form before you confirm.

Do you go to Griffith, Bond and Southern Cross?

Yes – Southport and Parkwood (Griffith), Robina and Varsity Lakes (Bond) and the Coolangatta-Bilinga corridor (Southern Cross) are all fixed-fare suburbs on our chart.

Can a group of students share one vehicle?

Yes, and it is the cheapest way to travel – fares are per vehicle, so seven students sharing a KIA Carnival split one fare.

Do you pick up at night?

Yes – we operate 24/7, and late-night international arrivals are routine.

Which airport should I fly into?

Gold Coast Airport (OOL) is the closer and cheaper transfer for most student suburbs; Brisbane Airport (BNE) has more international routes. Both are fixed-fare transfers with the same pickup service.

What is your cancellation policy if my visa or flight changes?

Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup and you receive a full credit toward a future transfer. Within 24 hours of pickup no credit applies.

Is there a discount for booking my trip home too?

Yes – book both legs together and the return leg is 5% off.

Is the service safe for a student travelling alone?

You are met by name inside the terminal by a family-run business rated 5.0 on Google, with the fare fixed and paid before you fly – no meters, no cash, no strangers’ apps.
