Byron Bay Events Transfers

Byron packs a lot into a small town, and every one of these weekends puts real pressure on parking, taxis and rideshare. We run door-to-door private transfers to and from all of them, at a set price agreed before you travel.

Event dates below were checked with the organisers on 29 August 2026 and are updated as new festivals are announced.

Coming up — late 2026

  • Sat 29 – Sun 30 August 2026

    Byron Bay Surf Festival

    Clarks Beach, Byron Bay

A celebration of surf culture with competitions, art, film, live music and markets, built around sustainability and the local coastline.

  • Saturday 19 September 2026

    Sample Food Festival

    Bangalow Showground

Northern NSW’s premier food event — the region’s best restaurants, producers and chefs competing for awards, plus cooking demonstrations and artisan stalls.

  • Thu 8 – Sun 11 October 2026

    DINGO Festival

    Bangalow and Byron Bay

A new four-day music and arts festival anchored in jazz, soul and club culture. Opening party at the Great Northern, main days across Bangalow’s A&I Hall, Moller Pavilion and RSL, closing at the Beach Hotel.

  • Fri 16 – Sun 25 October 2026

    Byron Bay International Film Festival

Palace Byron Bay and regional cinemas

The festival’s 20th edition — ten days of red carpet premieres, in-person filmmaker Q&As and special events, with screenings also at Brunswick Picture House, Ballina and Lismore.

  • Thu 29 October – Sun 1 November 2026

    Byron Latin Fiesta

    Byron Theatre & Community Centre

Now in its 21st year: four nights and three days of Latin dance workshops, live bands, performances and social dancing a short walk from the beach.

  • Fri 13 – Sat 14 November 2026

    Bangalow Show

    Bangalow Showground

125 years of ring events, livestock, pavilion entries, show rides and entertainment across two days.

  • Fri 27 – Sun 29 November 2026

    Byron Wellness Festival

    Bangalow Road, Byron Bay

A weekend of yoga, sound healing, workshops and live music set on the edge of town.

  • Sat 21 November – Sat 12 December 2026

    Schoolies

Byron Bay town centre and beaches

Three back-to-back weeks: 21–28 November (mostly Queensland leavers), 28 November – 5 December (the main NSW and Victorian week) and 5–12 December. Book transfers early — these are our busiest weeks of the year.

  • Thursday 31 December 2026

    New Year’s Eve

    Byron Bay town centre

Byron fills to capacity and road access tightens around the town centre. The single busiest night on our calendar, so lock in your pick-up well ahead.

Looking ahead to 2027

  • Late April 2027 — dates to be confirmed

    Byron Bay Triathlon

    Main Beach and Dening Park

The region’s biggest multisport weekend, starting and finishing beside Byron Surf Life Saving Club.

  • August 2027 — dates to be confirmed

    Byron Writers Festival

    Byron Bay town centre

More than 110 sessions across a walkable festival precinct centred on Railway Park, plus markets and live music.

Not running this season: Bluesfest has closed after 36 years, and both Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival remain on hiatus at North Byron Parklands. If any of them return we will list them here.

Getting to your event

Fixed prices, agreed up front. Byron Bay is a set-price route from Gold Coast Airport, Brisbane Airport and the Brisbane Cruise Terminal — no meters and no event-weekend surge. See the full fixed price chart →

Festival drop-offs and pick-ups. Tell us the venue when you book and we will arrange the closest legal drop-off point, including the Bangalow showground and the North Byron sites, where road closures usually apply.

Groups. A sedan carries three, the people mover seven and the maxi taxi eleven — all priced per vehicle, not per head, so a full car is the cheapest way for a group to travel.

Book early for peak weekends. Schoolies, New Year’s Eve and the film festival weekends sell out our fleet well in advance.
