## Brisbane Events Transfers

Suncorp, the Gabba and the South Bank precinct all empty onto the same few streets at once, and getting a car afterwards is the hard part of the night. We run door-to-door private transfers to and from every event below, at a set price agreed before you travel.

- Tue 1 – Fri 4 September 2026 ### BIGSOUND Fortitude Valley Australia’s leading new-music showcase: more than 150 acts across the Valley’s venues, alongside the industry conference.
- Fri 4 – Sat 26 September 2026 ### Brisbane Festival Venues across the city Australia’s premier spring arts festival — three weeks of theatre, music, dance, circus and large-scale free spectacle from South Bank to the suburbs.
- Saturday 5 September 2026 ### Riverfire Brisbane River and the CBD The city’s night-sky spectacular opens Brisbane Festival with fireworks from the bridges and rooftops, aircraft flyovers and riverside crowds.
- Thu 8 – Sun 11 October 2026 ### Brisbane Writers Festival Brisbane Powerhouse, New Farm Four days, more than 200 Australian and international authors and over 110 talks, workshops and discussions.
- Wed 21 October – Sun 8 November 2026 ### Melt Festival Brisbane Powerhouse and venues citywide Melt’s biggest program yet — nearly three weeks of queer arts and culture across theatre, music, cabaret and visual art, including the River Pride parade.
- Sunday 25 October 2026 ### Rugby League World Cup — Australia v Fiji Suncorp Stadium, Milton The Kangaroos open their Brisbane campaign at a full Suncorp. Milton and Caxton Street close to traffic on match days.
- Sunday 15 November 2026 ### Rugby League World Cup — Men’s & Women’s Finals Suncorp Stadium, Milton Both World Cup finals on the one day in Brisbane — the biggest single sporting day on the city’s 2026 calendar.
- Friday 27 November 2026 ### Australia v England T20 International The Gabba, Woolloongabba A 6.15pm night match under lights, part of the five-match T20 series against England.
- Sun 27 December 2026 – Fri 1 January 2027 ### Woodford Folk Festival Woodfordia, Woodford Six days and nights, 450-plus acts and more than 1,600 shows across 20 venues, about an hour north of Brisbane.
- Thursday 31 December 2026 ### New Year’s Eve South Bank and the CBD Free family fireworks over the river. The CBD and South Bank fill early and road access tightens, so book your pick-up point ahead.

### Looking ahead to 2027

- Sun 3 – Sun 10 January 2027 ### Brisbane International Queensland Tennis Centre, Tennyson The opening week of Australia’s summer of tennis, with the world’s best players on Pat Rafter Arena ahead of the Australian Open.
- February – March 2027 — dates to be confirmed ### Brisbane Comedy Festival Brisbane Powerhouse, New Farm A month of stand-up from Australian and international comedians across the Powerhouse stages.
- August 2027 — dates to be confirmed ### Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills Queensland’s largest annual event returns after its 150th year — showbags, animals, rides, competitions and EkkaNITES fireworks.

**Also worth knowing:** the Ekka ran 8–16 August for its 150th year and returns in August 2027, and the Brisbane International Film Festival is paused for 2026 while Screen Queensland rebuilds it for a 2027 return.

## Getting to your event

**Stadium road closures.** Milton and Caxton Street shut around Suncorp on match days and Vulture Street tightens for the Gabba. Tell us your seat or hotel when you book and we will set a pick-up point outside the closures.

**Groups.** A sedan carries three, the people mover seven and the maxi taxi eleven — all priced per vehicle, not per head, so a full car is the cheapest way for a group to travel.

**Book early for peak nights.** Riverfire, both World Cup match days at Suncorp, New Year’s Eve and the Woodford run all book out our fleet well in advance.
